Policy Dialogue on Macroeconomic Modeling and Trade Policy at the Modeling Lab

The Modeling Lab at the Lahore School of Economics hosted a dynamic policy dialogue featuring Mr. Ben French, Leadership Coach, and Mr. Mujtaba Piracha, Secretary Industries, Punjab. The session, led by Dr. Moazam Mahmood alongside Lab researchers Amna Noor Fatima, Sara Qasim, and Anoosha Liaqat, centered around the Lab’s cutting-edge macroeconomic models—including the General Equilibrium Macro Model and the Pakistan Trade Model.

Discussions explored the integration of Pakistan Single Window data into modeling frameworks and sparked debate on the role of landowner influence in policy decisions and agricultural pricing. The event concluded with informal networking over lunch, laying the groundwork for continued collaboration on evidence-based policy innovation.
